The Dreamland

I remember the first time I read "The Magician's nephew" from C. S. Lewis, I was lying in my bed in São Paulo. I was 13 or 14 years old, I had the big book with all the Chronicles of Narnia (my best friend at the time borrowed it to me, cause it was too expensive for me to buy it). I was fascinated by the way C.S. Lewis described the Wood between the Worlds, so many lakes that could transport them to different worlds! I remember how I cried reading about Aslan's song that brought Narnia to life! It was beautiful!

By reading C. S. Lewis, Tolkien, J.K. Rowling, R.R. Martin and others my mind flew away, I visited so many places and worlds, I met so many people and different stories! After each travel, I went back to the Wood between Worlds and, I added something new in my own lake. Until the day I set down and, I started to draw this place, I drew each land, each kingdom, I gave them names, I get to know their stories, their people, their culture.

And from that place, Lindorië came alive! My first "finished" character, a woman from Aïrezed, destined to marry the future king and rule with him, but for her love and power wasn't enough without justice! She needed more, and this is where her story begins.

Aïrezed is a wonderful island with a great kingdom, but what about Therparhar? The land of the old foxes, where the stories began but never got an end. At this place, I let my mind run free! And my alter ego, Madame Fox takes place to tell you the most beautiful and melancholic tales of this land: "The unfinished tales of Madame Fox" is an illustrated project, in which I publish on Wattpad and here the stories of the people of this land.

This project is quite experimental, cause I didn't find a visual identity for it yet, but I try different things, different kinds of illustration to bring my characters to life. Some of these illustrations you can fin in the Dreamland by P. D. Fox collection, others in the gallery or here! But the day I'll finish the unfinished tales, you'll have a beautiful collection to celebrate it! But don't wait for it, cause I'm not in a rush!

So the Dreamland by P. D. Fox collection it's an invitation to jump in my lake and explore my fantastic world not only by my illustrations but by my book(s) and texts too! The collection on the website is not extensive, so I'll let here a glimpse of my illustration work in the dreamland:
